Inspiration

Since I was a teenager, I have been a fan of hot sauce. Whether regular vinegar based, straight-forward pepper sauces to obscure flavors, it has inspired me to create sauces of my own. For over 10 years, I have experimented with many combinations and came to create the Ninth Wave Company with it’s namesake inspired by the Russian-Armenian painter’s magnum opus. The painting shows both the destructiveness and beauty of nature.

About

Born in Wisconsin to Dutch immigrants and eventually moving to the D.C. Area, I have been around many cultures which show their influence in the sauces I create. Using all natural ingredients and locally sourced peppers, I create sauces for the hot-sauce connoisseur and the health conscious. All labels, bottles, sauces are created with D.I.Y. in mind. I personally prepare every batch and bottle it myself with the label sketched and designed by two D.C. friends.
